Principal – Industrials Sector Europe
My favorite part of my job is working with very talented people, both staff and clients."
- Has been at URS since 2003
- Works in Wimbledon, United Kingdom
- Has worked on business development for industrial clients
- Wanted to be a person who really liked what he was doing when he grew up
I am responsible for business development with industrial sector clients and I am a Client Account Manager for several key multinational clients.
While I am Project Director on several projects, my basic responsibility is to grow client accounts, both geographically and across as many services as possible. I also help other Client Account Managers do their jobs better.
I was interested in the sciences and engineering and finding practical solutions using effective teams of people.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont in the United States.
I had been a client in U.S. for 12 years before coming to London when my wife had a job transfer. I worked for another good consultancy in the UK for three years and then saw greater potential at URS with a chance to run the London Soil and Groundwater group, which I did for 4 years before moving over to business development.
Assembling very bright teams of people to solve very challenging technical and strategic client problems.
Without question, my favorite thing is working with people who deliver high quality solutions again and again to the most demanding customers in the world.
Broader business development both sector-wise and geographically.
